Lakes Entrance Flathead are around the Myer Street jetty taking soft ¬plastics. Trevally are at the rock wall walk leading to Kalimna jetty taking white bait. Try surf beaches for Salmon and Whiting around Nungurner on worm. Offshore for “Pinkies” Morwong and “Gummies”, best bait being pilchard and squid.
Lake Tyers The whole lake system is producing Flathead and Bream with late afternoon being a better chance with Bream, using hard body lures. Flathead are taking soft plastics. Try surf for Salmon.
Mitchell River Bream are in the backwater taking prawn and worm. Perch are to be found at the Wy Yung bridge. From Eagle Point to the river mouth for Bream.
Tambo River Best spot for Bream is at the snags and the river mouth with prawn giving best results.
Nicholson Bream are cruising around the boat ramp and heading towards the river mouth. Best results using worm.
Metung Seals have returned but only around Shaving Point. Trolling with lures will produce Salmon and Tailor. Silver Shot is producing Whiting on worm.
Paynesville McMillan Strait is the best spot for Bream with shrimp as preferred bait. Eagle Point Bay is producing Tailor, for best results try trolling with lures.
Holland’s Landing Plover Point for Bream, Mullet and Flathead on worm. McLennan Strait and through to Medussa Point and Bull Bay is best for Bream and Flathead on worm, prawn and soft plastics.
Marlo Bream and Luderick are in the river system. The Brodribb and Lake Corringal for Mullet and Bream. Salmon and Tailor in channel. Surf for “Gummies” and Tailor. Offshore for “Gummies” and Flathead.
Bemm River The Entrance is still closed. Bream, Luderick and Flathead are in the channel, best bait being, prawn, worm and soft plastics.
Tamboon Inlet Flathead are still cruising the shallow banks chasing lures ad soft plastics. Try the river mouth and lake for Bream on prawn.
Mallacoota Beach for Salmon and Tailor on pilchard and poppers. Bream in top and bottom lake taking bass yabbies. Flathead are also in top and bottom lake biting on lures and bait. Trolling the system with lures for Salmon and Tailor. Luderick at Fisheries taking weed.
Omeo High Country All the rivers are all producing trout so give them a try on spinners, soft plastics and wobblers for best result.
